1919 Copa América in Brazil

The 1919 Copa América was held in Brazil. It was the 3rd edition of the tournament, played 11–29 May, 1919.

The four participating countries were: Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay (defending champions). After each team had played each other once, Brazil and Uruguay were tied for first place. In the playoff game, Brazil won 1–0 after two extra time periods. It was Brazil's first title.
