Sepak Takraw at the Commonwealth Games - a Demonstration Sport

There was an exhibition of sepak takraw at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but no details of any match have been found.

Sepak takraw was one of the four demonstration sports at Games, the others were Silat, Silambam and Wushu.

Various activities were lined up to promote the game among Commonwealth countries.

The other Commonwealth countries with Sepak takraw teams are Malaysia, Australia, Brunei, India, Singapore, and Sri Lanka.

The sport has never been on the official Commonwealth Games program
