Badminton at the Commonwealth Games
Badminton was one of the core Commonwealth Games sports. It had been at all Commonwealth Games since 1966, up to 2022, though it was dropped for the reduced 2026 Commonwealth Games program.
Competition
- At the Games six gold medals were on offer. Men and women play in singles and doubles. There was also a mixed team and doubles event.
- Singles and doubles events involve a sudden death knockout draw, while the team event will commence with a round-robin competition.
