Strike Balls - a New Sport

The new sport of Strike Balls was created by Kisakye Hakim from Uganda
in 2023. Two players are involved, each owns a small ball in its own color like tennis ball. The two players stand at a distance facing each other and the main aim is that the two balls collide with one another above the cross pole.

Equipment: small balls, big size balls, poles assembled in a form of a football pitch goal.

IT INVOLVES THREE STAGES

STAGE ONE

Two players stand aside at equally marked distance from the raised cross bar of a given length lifted up by poles just like a goal post in soccer and throw the balls up towards each other.

The court onto which the game is played is marked with;

The two players stand at a distance facing each other and the main aim is that the two balls collide with one another above the cross pole.

One has to strike with great energy to make sure your ball forces the opponent’s ball fall not your side. Each player has to grab the opponent's ball before it falls on your side when there is no collusion.

If one captures the two balls after collusion before they fall down on his/her side, he/she earns five points, with the opponent earning nothing and if they fall he/she earns three and the side where they fall earns nothing.

One can also make the balls collide on his side and catches them to earn the five points as well, though its risky, it may end up earning the opponent three when you fail to catch them.

If your ball passes below the bar, you lose a point and if it passes above the bar you earn a point when it falls down on the opponent's side and if it collides with the other ball from the other side and they fall on that very side, you earn three points and the opponent earns nothing.

The team with more points wins the stage.

STAGE TWO

A big ball is tied up on the cross bar and teams of one: one face one another in which each team has fifteen times in each of the two halves to throw the ball and strike the ball on the cross bar which is hanging. Throws are alternating one team after the other until the half is finished.

The throws are made from any point at the court in your own court behind the penalty line, a strike with in the serving box earns three point and two within the center half, one at the penalty line.

The number of scores by each team of two in either halves is recorded and the team that has more wins the stage.

STAGE THREE/FINAL STAGE

As in all the first stages, it is usually one against one with option of a sub at any point in the game

The last bit of the game is striking the ball that is placed above the pole on a circular firm pivot for only fifteen chances each team, behind the penalty line.

If your team strikes the ball by any means and it falls off, it earns five points and if its striking ball passes down, it loses two points.

If it strikes the ball and the ball doesn't fall off, then it earns three points, throwing the ball and you don't strike the ball at all and your ball passes up earns no max, the two teams as usual strike alternating.

At the end of the game, the team that has more points wins the game, earning it’s five points.

Nb:

Penalty is to strike a ball placed on a pivot on top of the pole with freedom to stand where one fills best to make a strike, if you strike it down, you earn five points and if you strike on it and it remains stable you get two points and when you miss it completely, you earn nothing, but if your ball passes bellow, you lose two points as well.

In cases of draws, penalty will be the way to go to get the winner in case of final games as well and not tournaments.

For teams in tournament a win is worth 5 points and a draw is worth 2 points.

In this game, changes in team members may be made after every stage or in case of an injury.

The team may contain males and females at the same time; it remains to the team to decide whether it should be represented by male or female at any stage.
