RacketGoal - a New Sport

The new sport of RacketGoal was created by Ian Brogan from the United States in 2024. RacketGoal is a variation of tennis that includes a mini soccer goal. Players use rackets to hit a ball into a mini soccer goal to score points.

Equipment Required: Two mini soccer goals, a soft palm sized ball, and rackets. To set up boundaries for a pickup game, you could use cones.

Spot Details

  1. Game Objective: Score goals in the opponent's  goal to earn points.
  2. Team Size: Each team consists of up to two players.
  3. Court Division: Teams must stay on their side of the court.
  4. Ball Bounce Rule: The ball can only bounce twice on a team's side of the court. Allowing it to do so will give the other team 1 point.
  5. Scoring: Normal goals scored from anywhere on the court earn 2 points, while penalty shots, taken from right behind the line of the restricted area in front of the goal, are worth 1 point and are uncontested.
  6. Restricted Area: A restricted area around the goal prevents players from standing in it or crossing the half-court line. Violating this rule results in an uncontested penalty shot for the opposing team.
  7. Winning: First to score 16 points wins.
