Sport Summary
Paddle Pass is a sport in which you and your opponent bounce a ping pong ball towards each other. If the opponent can’t recover or hit the ball back in 4 bounces or less, you get a point. This sport is played in a open area with hard walls and floor (like a gym). Play to 21. If you have enough room, this can potentially be played with an infinite amount of people.
- Coin toss determines who gets possession first.
- Play is started on first contact with the paddle to the ball.
- Ball must be hit upwards and towards the opponent.
- In the event of the ball not being able to be hit towards the opponent without being four bounces or less, the player may “recover” or hit the ball directly up into the air. If unable to do that, they may start to juggle the ball with the paddle up to five times before they must continue play.
- If the ball bounces 5 times without the opponent being able to return or recover the ball, the player gets a point.
- First player to 21 wins.
- In the event the players paddle gets stuck somewhere for whatever reason and is unable to retrieve it, the player will either opt to surrender, or continue play by slapping the ball instead.
- In the event the ball gets lodged or stuck somewhere where you are unable to retrieve it, the player who hit it there will surrender.
- In the event in which the ball is damaged, a new ball will be used for play (with -1 point to the guy who damaged it).
- In the event where both players are absolutely lost and don’t know whats going on, they may “gentlemen” and decide to change a rule to their liking.
- Street Rules are allowed only if all players agree to use the specific street rule. (Street Rules are like that in 4-square, just random and fun rule changes to spice things up).
