The new sport of Battique was created by Dareon St. Amant from the USA in Decemeber 2023. It can be described as Complicated Baseball. It is a slow-pitch variant recreational sport of Baseball/Cricket. The batting team consists of one batter and four outfielders, while the fielding team includes a pitcher, a catcher, and three defensive players positioned in the center, right, and left.

The objective is for the batter to hit the ball into the outfield. Points are scored by successfully hitting the ball and having it caught by the fielding team. If the ball is knocked out of the designated playing area, it results in an automatic point. Ground balls and foul balls are considered no good.

Since there are outfielders in the offense, those players do not bat for that specific game. Batting lists change every game so that every player bats and every player outfields.

Sport Details

All players besides the batter must wear protective gear. (Helmets, Shin guards, and gloves)

- Any ball caught by the offense results in 1 point.
- Any ball caught by defensemen results in an out.
- Any ball hit out of the park/Into the stands results in 2 points.
- Any ground balls or foul balls are considered "No good" and count as strikes.
- If a batter gets 3 strikes (Foul balls included) they are out.
- "Balls" are not included in Battique and a batter will not get a run after 4 balls.
- All pitches must be slow pitches. Even though balls are not included, pitchers can still throw them.
- If a ball is not caught by any outfielder, it will be ruled as a strike.
- A game of Battique only lasts 7 innings
- Defensemen are allowed to push and maneuver around offensivemen the same way offensivemen are allowed to push and maneuver around Defensemen.
- There are to be 3 Umpires on the field at all times: Behind the catcher, one in the right field, and one in the left field.

Equipment Required:
Helmets for Outfielders, and Pitchers.
Shinguards for Outfielders, Pitchers, and Batters.
A normal baseball bat but a cricket bat also works.
A softball but any kind of large ball will work.
A baseball field
Gloves/mitts for all players besides Batters.
