The NFL schedule for 2025 will run for 18 gameweeks, between September 4th and January 5th, 2026. This will be followed by Wild Card week and the Divisional Championship games, the latter of which will be contested on January 18th and January 19th, 2026.

The NFL playoff schedule will also include the Conference matchups, on January 26th. The two winners will progress to the iconic Super Bowl showdown (Super Bowl LX), which will take place on Sunday, February 8th, 2026 at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.

NFL Playoff Schedule 2025 - Road to Super Bowl LX

The NFL playoff schedule consists of 13 matches (including the Super Bowl), and will run from January 10th to February 8th, 2026. A total of 14 teams will compete in the postseason, including the top-ranked seven franchises from both the NFC and AFC Championships. Here's a summary of how the playoff games are scheduled.

Wild Card Weekend (January 10-12, 2026)

The postseason commences with the NFL wild card schedule, which features six matches in total.

These will see the teams ranked from second to seventh in each conference do battle against one another, between January 10th and January 12th. Here's a breakdown of the matches and where you may be able to watch them.

Divisional Round (January 17-18, 2026)

The NFL divisional round schedule for 2025/26 includes games on both Saturday, January 17th and Sunday, January 18th.

Four divisional matches will be contested in total, with the top seed in each conference (who are afforded a bye during Wild Card Week) facing off against the lowest remaining seed on their side of the draw.

The other two sides that won their respective NFC and AFC Wild Card matches will also compete against one another. By the end of this round, just four franchises will remain in Super Bowl contention and only two in each conference.

Conference Championships (January 25, 2026)

The two remaining sides in both the NFC and AFC will subsequently compete in their respective Conference finals.

In 2026, both the AFC and NFC Conference games will take place on January 25th, with the former taking place at 3:00pm ET and the latter at 6:30pm ET.

Although the exact location for each Conference game has yet to be confirmed for 2026, CBS and FOX will once again broadcast the AFC and NFC Championship matchups respectively.

Super Bowl LX (February 8, 2026)

The NFL playoff schedule in 2025 will conclude with Super Bowl LX. This will take place on Sunday, February 8th, two weeks after the NFC and AFC Conference games and seven days after the Pro Bowl Games on February 1st.

Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California will assume hosting duties for this season's Super Bowl. As usual, the match will kick off at 6:30pm ET, with NBC and Peacock expected to provide live coverage of the action.

Last season's Super Bowl was broadcast by FOX and streamed live on Tubi. A record 127.7 million viewers tuned in across the length-and-breadth of the US, including 14.5 million through streaming platforms. These numbers broke the records that had been set the previous year.

NFL TV Schedule 2025 - Where to Watch

The NFL TV schedule for 2025/26 is yet to be finalized, including the companies that will broadcast the Wild Card game and Divisional matchups.

The Detroit Lions also have a difficult SoS ranking of .571. They'll face 11 teams that reached the 2024 playoffs overall, while their opponents went 165-124 collectively last season.

Conversely, the 49ers have the lowest SoS ranking, at just .415. Their scheduled opponents compiled a losing record of 120-169 in 2024, while they'll face just four sides that reached the previous season's playoffs.
