100-Ball Cricket ("The Hundred")

100-ball cricket is a form of limited overs cricket, in which each team plays a single innings consisting of 100 balls. In this format, there are 20-deliveries less than a traditional twenty20 match (20 x 6 ball overs). This shorter version is designed so that the matches fit comfortably into a three-hour window and are therefore more spectator friendly.

Originally, the proposed format for this game included 15 traditional six-ball overs, and a 10-ball over. A cricket tournament using this format is to be held in England commencing in July 2020 (postponed until 2021), called 'the Hundred'. This tournament is expected to feature 10 ten-ball overs with bowlers delivering 5 or 10 consecutive balls. The batters will change ends after every 10 balls. Each bowler can deliver a maximum of 20 balls per game.
