Peruvian Institute of Sport (Instituto Peruano del Deporte, IPD)
The Instituto Peruano del Deporte (IPD), is responsible for coordinating sports policy, recreational and physical education in Peru. The Institute was officially created on April 28, 1920.
The Peruvian Institute of Sport in coordination with the National Sports System, formulates policy and provides sport, recreational and physical education. Within the Institute's services are the sports training, medical services and recreation and advocacy. The Institute organizes, plans, promotes, coordinates, evaluates and investigates national sports development, recreation and physical education in all disciplines, modes, levels and categories in Peru.
