Kipkeino High Performance Training Centre, Eldoret, Kenya
The Kip Keino IOC high performance training centre is an elite center for learning and sports excellence. It is located near Eldoret town, 350km west of the Kenyan capital Nairobi. The centre was opened in 2002, and is home to some of the most promising athletes in Kenya.
The training center is located just outside Eldoret within several hundred acres of farmland owned by Kipchoge Keino. The center is listed as a High Performance Training Centers by the IAAF. The centre focuses on developing middle and long distance track champions.
There are many training camps around the Eldoret and Iten area, which focus on road running, including Lornah Kiplagat's High Altitude Training Centre in Iten.
