UEFA Conference League

The UEFA Conference League (formerly the UEFA Europa Conference League) is an annual football cup competition organized by UEFA for football clubs in Europe. It is the third-tier competition, below the Champions League (1st tier) and the Europa League (2nd tier), which are also for top European club teams.

The league started for the 2021-22 season, the first winner was AS Roma (Italy) in 2022. (see results). The winner of the competition qualifies for the following season's UEFA Europa League

Starting in 2024–25, the competition was renamed the UEFA Conference League (dropping “Europa” from the name).

Also in 2024-25,  the 32-team group stage was replaced with a 36-team league phase. This new league-style format in the group stage is similar to changes made in the Champions League and Europa League.
