Australia at Tokyo 2021
Australia sent a large team to the Tokyo Olympics, 477 athletes in 30 sports. Australia competed in all sports except baseball, fencing, handball and wrestling.
The Australian team was predicted to place sixth on the medal tally at the Tokyo Olympics. It was a very successful Games, and it matched the predictions with one of the most successful Games ever (in terms of medals won). Australia won 17 gold medals, with a total of 46 medals
Athletes
- Emma McKeon won four gold and three bronze medals in Tokyo, the most by any athlete, and is tied for the most medals won in a single Olympics by a woman.
