Australia at Cortina d'Ampezzo 1956

At the Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo in 1956 Australia sent 10 athletes, comprising 8 men and 2 women, who competed in alpine skiing, figure skating and speed skating.

In the speed skating Colin Hickey came in 7th place in both 500 and 1000 meter events. This was Australia's best result to that point (and would not be bettered until 1976)
