ChiskopĀ® Foot Tennis (a new sport)

The new sport of ChiskopĀ® Foot Tennis was created by Siyabonga Kunene from South Africa in 2022. This game is played with a peeled tennis ball. It's played by 4 teams each side in which they tap the tennis ball and individuals can gain points by their skills with the tennis ball, and teams can loose points if the ball goes out of bounds.

The game originates at our neighborhoods of Soweto South Africa. Teams of 4 players each side of the court tap a shaved tennis ball to each other without the ball going out of bounds. The tennis ball must be very well shaved in order for it to bounce properly, the game is for testing your level of skills with the tennis ball.

Equipment Required: Tennis court middle net (should be lowered), shaved tennis balls, casual sports wear.

Sport Description

The game is played 15 minutes for 4 quarters. Players should tap and pass the ball to each other.

You are also allowed to pass the ball to your team mate if you think you can't pass long range passes. If you pass the ball straight to the opponent you get 2 points for accuracy, if your pass fades and goes out of bounds you loose 1 point as an individual and the other team gains points (5).

If a player looses all his/her individual points, they are eliminated. To be reshuffled back to the game the team should agree to sacrifice 15 points (the captain is responsible for making that decision).
