Dominica at the Winter Olympic Games

Dominica first competed at the Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. The nation was represented by Angelica and Gary di Silvestri, who entered in the cross-country skiing race. The couple which qualified for the Winter Games formed the Dominica Ski Federation.

This husband and wife team were from the USA, and the validity of their qualification for Dominica has been questioned. The couple had to spend $175,000 to be registered as Dominican athletes, and Gary pulled out of the race after a few hundred meters while Angela did not participate at all.

The South American nation hasn’t won any medal at either the Summer or Winter Games.
