The Super Bowl XLVI was the 46th Super Bowl in American Football, to decide the champion team in the NFL. The game was played in Indianapolis, the first time that the Super Bowl was held there. The game was played on Feb 5, 2012 at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana.

The game was played between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion New England Patriots and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion New York Giants, with the Giants winning 21-17. These two teams last met in a Super Bowl final in 2008, and the Giants won that time too.
