The 1987 Super Bowl, officially known as Super Bowl XXI, was played on January 25, 1987 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. This game saw the New York Giants defeat the Denver Broncos by a score of 39-20.

The Giants dominated the game, with quarterback Phil Simms throwing for 268 yards and three touchdowns to earn the MVP award. New York's defense was also strong, holding the Broncos to just 20 points and forcing two turnovers. This was the first Super Bowl win for the New York Giants in franchise history.
