Precision Club Throw at the Paralympic Games

A club throw event has been part of athletics at the Summer Paralympics since the first Games in 1960. In addition, there was also a Precision Club Throw event at the 1976 and 1988 Paralympic Games.

While the aim of the club throw event is to throw the wooden bowling pin-shaped club as far as possible, in the precision club throw, participants were aiming for a target of concentric circles on the ground.

There is has also been a similar Precision Javelin Throw event previously held as part of the Paralympics.
