1972 Heidelberg Paralympic Games

The 1972 Paralympics were held in Heidelberg, Germany. 44 countries and 1004 athletes participated. These Games were only open to Wheelchair athletes.

Goalball for blind athletes was introduced as a demonstration sport at the 1972 Paralympics. As was 100 m sprint for the visually impaired.
