BRICS Games

The BRICS Games is an annual multi-sport event featuring athletes from the BRICS countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.

The Games were established to promote friendship and cooperation among these nations, and to enhance cultural exchange and strengthen sports development within the BRICS community.

The first event was held in 2016, and included just a Under-17 association football tournament. The first official games were held in 2017. No Games were held in 2019, 2020 and 2021 due to the Corona virus pandemic. BRICS Games 2021 was scheduled to be held at the same time and at the same venues as of Khelo India Games 2021, but it did not go ahead. The 2022 event was held online.
