Contract Bridge at the Asian Games

Contract Bridge made its debut at the 2018 Asian Games. Bridge is a card game which is played by four players, with teams of two sitting opposite each other at a table. Fans are able to watch the hands that are dealt and how they are played on large television screens.

Contract bridge is a card game that many have questioned if it really is a sport and should be included on the program, though there has been a precedent with other games, Weiqi (Go) and Ziangqi, on the Asian Games sports program in 2010. The equally non-physical e-sports is also a demonstration sport at these Games.
