Australia at the T20 World Cup
Australia have played in all editions of the T20 World Cup. Australia lost to Zimbabwe in their opening match in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Their best result is winning in 2021. Australia also finished second in 2010.
Australia hosted the tournament in 2022, and will again co-host in 2028.
Trivia
- The first-ever hat-trick in the World Cup was taken by Brett lee against Bangladesh in Cape Town in September 2007.
- Australia's Pat Cummins became the first bowler to get two T20 World Cup hat-tricks, which he achieved at the same 2024 tournament.
