Full Bore Rifle at the Commonwealth Games
Full Bore Rifle Shooting was first on the Commonwealth Games program in 1966. Shooting was not on the program for the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games, or in 2026.
2018 Competition
- Two gold medals were on offer, in open events (open to both males and females) for singles and pairs.
- In the Full Bore Rifle competition there were no qualifying rounds. The firing distances was between 300 and 1,000 yards and competitors shot once per stage.
Trivia
- Northern Irish Full Bore Rifle shooter David Calvert appeared a record 11 Commonwealth Games (1978-2018), the record of the most appearances at the Games for any sport.
