Commonwealth Games Mascots: Melbourne 2006

The Games mascots are now an integral part of the promotion and commercial success of the Commonwealth Games. In 2006, the mascot was Karak.

The 2006 mascot is a south-eastern Red-tailed Black Cockatoo
Its scientific name is Calyptorhynchus banksii graptogyne, though this one is called Karak.
